2007 Dues Statement
2007 Meeting Program
2007 Book of Abstracts
The International Society for Research in Child and Adolescent Psychopathology (ISRCAP) was founded in 1988 by
Herbert C. Quay, so
that mental health professionals interested in child psychopathology would have a forum to
exchange ideas concerning the nature and treatment of childhood mental disorders. Members are interested in
recent, basic and applied research and current treatment strategies.
The membership meets biennially in various locals, most recently in Vancouver, Sydney, and New York. The 2007 meeting in London was held at the Royal Over-Seas League, June 20-23.
The purpose of these meetings are to focus on:
Recent developments in diagnosis and assessment of major forms
of child and adolescent psychopathology, including both internalizing and externalizing disorders
Current theories of the biological and psychosocial etiologies of the major forms of childhood psychopathology,
including internalizing and externalizing disorders
Recent developments in treatment of major forms of childhood psychopathology, including both internalizing
and externalizing disorders
Recent developments in the knowledge regarding the longitudinal course of the major forms of child and adolescent
psychopathology, including both internalizing and externalizing disorders
The society has grown to approximately 320 members worldwide. Membership requires a Ph.D. or M.D., written endorsement from two ISRCAP members, and five publications in refereed
journals, on one of which the applicant is sole or first author. Membership dues are $100.00 USD per year and include
a subscription to the Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology. Members are subscribed to the ISRCAP listserve.
